Hi Robert. Great audio book! The one thing that stood out for me was the emphasis on making sure you get the settlement agreement in writing and to get another account preferably at another bank. Unfortunately, in the past, I have paid thru my checking accounts which are on record and they may have my home or cell number already.

    Wow Rob,
I didn’t realize you were such an inspirational speaker! Thank you so much for the powerful tools to successfully negotiate debt. I got a lot from what you said about

Initiating a conversation about a possible settlement and knowing beforehand what you can realistically pay and not being afraid to ask for an aggressive decrease payoff.

Secondly and most important to not budge until you absolute have stated in clear terms that the negotiated amt. will settle the debt in full and have it in your hand in WRITING before going to the next step.

You were very positive and upbeat throughout the conversation and you had a good handle of possible questions from the callers and you answered those. You were very focused and respectful throughout the call. Also, I thought it was appropriate to let us know we could make a donation if we thought the info was helpful. The only thing that was not clear, when you were spelling your last name at the end, I could not hear all the letters. I think it may have been a glitch in my reception but I’m not sure. So you might want to repeat the spelling of your last name for those who may have not gotten it the first time.

I took notes on everything, I’m not sure if at the beginning you encouraged others to get out their pad and pencil. If not, that my be helpful in the beginning because you said a lot and its no way someone can remember all that without taking some notes.

Thanks and I look forward to using these techniques.
